27 Jan Trending: Chocolate for Breakfast
Eating chocolate for breakfast is a fun trend that’s cropped up for 2017, and probably linked to a small study that showed eating a large breakfast with dessert can help with weight loss. What’s interesting is the breakfast just happened to be high in protein and fibre, a dynamic duo that helps curb hunger.
Some research shows that chocolate (read: dark chocolate) may improve brain function and lower blood pressure. This could be because of flavonoids, natural antioxidants in plants. And eating chocolate causes the brain to release a rush of feel-good endorphins. We all want that, right? One of the easiest way to get a morning chocolate fix is with this Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie.

I asked a few dietitian colleagues on how they would enjoy chocolate at breakfast. The response was amazing. Check out these delicious ideas.
